Train the Trainer-Safeguarding Adults (Level 3)
(Two days)
The aim of this course is to provide participants with the knowledge, comprehension, and skills to deliver safeguarding training with confidence. It will be a blend of learning theories and Safeguarding knowledge. Attendees will be provided, at the end of the course, with sufficient material and resources to deliver Safeguarding Adults Training for Level 1 and Level 2 or equivalent. The course is ideal for anyone delivering safeguarding training within their organisation or as part of a training pool. Due to the nature of the course and the methods of learning, this course is not suitable for virtual delivery
The course will cover:
- Learning styles and how they may impact design and delivery of training sessions
- How to assess learners needs during a session.
- Major theories of learning and development.
- Writing learning objectives/ outcomes
- Writing session plans
- The role of the trainer in assessment and evaluation
- Safeguarding Adults Training (Level 1 and Level 2)
- Mental Capacity Act (Level 1 and Level 2)
- Review of safeguarding training material and content
- How to deliver an effective and engaging training session- top tips
- Micro-teach (15-20 mins) of a safeguarding subject covered on the course.
