Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SAR’S)
(3 Hours /half-day)
This course will examine recent national Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SRA’s). When published a SAR will have comprehensive details of the case and it will contain a number of findings and recommendations. It is important that these findings and recommendations are understood and that we learn lessons from these distressing cases and ensure we embed the recommendations into our working practices. The course will cover:
- State when and why a safeguarding adult review (SAR) is undertaken.
- Explain the purpose of undertaking a SAR.
- Describe the national findings from previous SAR’s.
- Discuss and examine recent local SAR’s.
- Identify the potential risks and how these risks could be managed in a multi-agency approach.
- Outline what recommendations are emerging from SAR’s.
- Identify how we can embed recommendations and learning into your practices and working with adults at risk.
