This course is designed for use by Local Authorities and Safeguarding Adults Boards/ Partnerships and associated agencies.

A multi-agency approach ensures a shared understanding and responsibility for safeguarding adults. It explores priorities and available resources held by each agency and promotes partnership working, information sharing and risk identification and management. A partnership approach supports an adult’s well-being, happiness, choice and control. It will include:

  • Explore roles and responsibilities regarding risk identification, assessment, responses and preventative measures
  • Organisational challenges and boundaries
  • Sec 42(2) enquiries- joint enquiries
  • Information sharing
  • Legal frameworks
  • Structure and Writing Enquiry reports
