Safeguarding Adults Training Privacy Policy

Dawn Shearwood is the trainer at Safeguarding Adults Training and is committed to safeguarding your privacy. By using this site, you consent to the processing of your personal data as described in this policy.

The policy is part of my terms and conditions; by agreeing to the Terms and Conditions you also agree to this policy. In the event of a collision of terms used in Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, the latter shall prevail.

Definitions

Personal Data – any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.
Processing – any operation or set of operations which is performed on Personal Data or on sets of Personal Data.
Data subject – a natural person whose Personal Data is being Processed. Often this means delegates booking onto courses and other contacts of the organisation.

· Processing is lawful, fair, transparent. The Processing activities have lawful grounds, always considering your rights before Processing Personal Data. I will provide you information regarding Processing upon request.

· Processing is limited to the purpose. The Processing activities fit the purpose for which Personal Data was gathered.

· Processing is done with minimal data. I only gather and Process the minimal amount of Personal Data required for training and administration purposes.

· Processing is limited with a time period. I will not store your personal data for longer than needed.

· I will do my best to ensure the accuracy of data.

· I will do my best to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of data.

I currently collect and process the following information:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Contact telephone number.

  • Organisation you work for

How I get the personal information and why I have it

Most of the personal information I process is provided to us directly either:

  • By yourself

  • By a Local Authority Training Provision

  • By your organisation

The personal information is collected and used for one of the following reasons:

  • To contact you re a course you are booked on to and provide you with a service connected to that course.

  • To maintain training records for your/ employers’ reference

  • To provide an attendance record to the controller (Local Authority or Employing organisation)

I may share this information with

  • Yourself

  • your employer (if attending the training as part of your employment)

  • The relevant Local Authority Training provision if the training

  • On receiving a request from yourself, and therefore I have your consent, share with regulatory bodies, CQC, Safeguarding Adults Boards, what training you or your organisation have received from me.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases I rely on for processing this information are:

  2. I have a contractual obligation.

  3. I have a lawful basis:

    • Consent- clear consent given for the processing of personal data for specific reason (see above

    • Contract- the processing is necessary for a contract held with an organisation because they have asked us to take specific steps to comply with the contract (attendance registers)

I do not collect special category data.

I do not carry out profiling or automated decision-making data.

I do not send out sales, promotional or advertising emails.

I do not provide information to any third parties (other that those stated such as Safeguarding Adults Boards, Regulatory Bodies, CQC) without the expressed consent of the data subject or the data controller where I process data on their behalf.

The service and training provided is Safeguarding Adults Training, therefore I do not collect or knowingly collect information from children.

How I store your personal information

Your information is securely stored an office/ business computer. These are password protected, backed up regularly.

I keep Personal data for a maximum of 3 years. I will then dispose your information by deleting from systems. you can ask for your records to be deleted, if you wish, prior to this date.

The web designer uses cookies and/ or similar technologies to analyse customer behaviour, administer the website and track visitors’ movements.

Necessary cookies – these cookies are required for you to be able to use some important features on our website, such as logging in. These cookies do not collect any personal information.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you.
